Born on December 9, 1938, in Kherson, USSR (Ukraine). Studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute under renowned artists M. Khmelko and V. Shatalin, graduating in 1969.

He lived and worked primarily in Kyiv and became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (Ukraine) in 1980.

Lavrinenko’s paintings are held in private and gallery collections in Ukraine and internationally and have been featured in European and American art auctions.

The artist passed away in 2008.
