Born in 1944 in Bikin, Khabarovsk Territory, Russia. In 1959, he moved to Lytkarino in the Moscow Region and, in 1961, he was among the first students of the art studio at the MIR Palace of Culture, led by Yakov Fedoseyevich Kotyuzhansky, a student of Academician Igor Emmanuilovich Grabar.
From 1973 to 1978, Koryshev studied at the Art and Graphics Faculty of the Moscow Regional Pedagogical Institute.
Koryshev is best known for his atmospheric Russian landscapes and winter village scenes. Working primarily in oil on canvas, he captures the character of rural life through a traditional realist and impressionist approach.
He is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region, and the Vozrozhdeniye Artists’ Union.
Koryshev’s works are held in private and public collections worldwide, including the Lytkarino Museum of History and Local Lore and SDM Bank.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia and internationally, including the 1998 exhibition at the Izmailovsky Vernissage in Moscow.
