Ukrainian landscape and abstract painter from Kremenchuk, Ukraine.

Viktor Kobelyatsky was a Ukrainian landscape and abstract painter known for his atmospheric cityscapes, rural Ukrainian village scenes, impressionistic floral compositions, and expressive abstract oil paintings.

He characterized his artistic approach as “from spontaneity to harmony.”

Since 1993, Kobelyatsky actively participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and Europe. His first solo exhibition took place in Schwerin, Germany. In 1994, he presented a solo exhibition at the Kremenchuk City Museum of Local History. He regularly participated in national exhibitions in Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine and held multiple solo exhibitions in Kremenchuk. 

He was also one of the co-authors of a mural project on a residential building on Sumy Street in Kremenchuk in October 2023.

His artistic legacy includes approximately 2,000 works, many of which are held in museum collections and private collections in Ukraine and internationally.

The artist passed away on February 2, 2026.

2012   Solo exhibition at an art gallery in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. The exhibition marked his 55th anniversary and featured a live-performance opening, during which he painted a new work on-site in front of museum visitors and local media.

He was a regular participant in national exhibitions in Kyiv and other cities across Ukraine and held several solo exhibitions in Kremenchuk. His works are included in collections worldwide and have been shown internationally.
