Graduated from a four-year art school in 1970. In 1976, graduated from the Samokish Art School, Faculty of Painting, in Simferopol, Crimea. Later graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in 1981.

Working primarily in oil painting, Rusakova has developed a distinctive artistic practice spanning several decades.

Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1994.

Her works are held in private collections worldwide.

Participated in national and international exhibitions.
