Poznyak’s artistic practice encompasses easel painting, graphics, and digital art, spanning landscapes, portraits, animalistic art, narrative compositions, nudes, caricatures, and sketches.

Born in 1961 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv in 1984.

Honored Artist of Ukraine (2019). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2008.

Worked as an animator at the Kyiv Studio of Popular Science Films (1994), art editor at the Politvydav of Ukraine publishing house (1996–1998), and since 2018 has served as Associate Professor at the Department of Design and Architecture of the Institute of Computer Information Technologies and Design in Kyiv.

Poznyak has collaborated with numerous Ukrainian publishing houses and periodicals, illustrating books such as Dawns Over the Range by Ales Zhuk (1984), Days and Nights by Konstantin Simonov (1986), Plutonia by Vladimir Obruchev (1987), Avenger by M. Taryan (1988), Sagaidachny by Zinaida Tulub (1990), and The Rose of Alhambra (1996).

He is also the author of designs and illustrations for textbooks, artistic maps, postcards, posters, and multimedia projects.

Working across paper, cardboard, plywood, canvas, and plastic, Poznyak employs graphic, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting techniques.

Since 2004, he has participated in city, regional, national, and international exhibitions.

Solo exhibitions were held in Kyiv in 2007, 2019, 2022, and 2023.
