Born in 1963 in the Altai region, USSR. In 1970, he moved with his family to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he entered the Kyiv Children’s Art School.
From 1980 to 1986, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (formerly the Kyiv State Art Institute).
After graduation, he worked in graphic arts and actively participated in art exhibitions in various cities.
Lipavskiy is a prominent representative of contemporary Ukrainian art. Working closely with nature, he demonstrates a strong sensitivity to color, capturing subtle atmospheric effects such as shifting light, rain-soaked city streets, and reflections on asphalt.
Works are represented in private collections worldwide.
Participated in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and internationally.
