Born in 1989 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Graduated from the Taras Shevchenko State Art School in Kyiv and, in 2013, from the Faculty of Architecture of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Member of Archnamet (2014), working on tactical urbanism projects including enlight/Slavutych (2015). Collaborated with Atelier Metropolitano in Rio de Janeiro (2014–2015) on urban revitalization in informal settlements. Founded Atelier Intooutside (2015), focused on public space and architectural design.
Since 2018, architect at Lev Designs Ukraine, specializing in custom residential projects.
Alongside his architectural practice, Kovalyov is an active visual artist. His works have been exhibited in Ukraine and internationally, and are held in private collections worldwide.
