Born in 1967 in the city of Tchaikovsky, Perm Region, Russia. He spent his childhood and adolescence there and showed an early interest in the visual arts, working with plaster, clay, and drawing from a young age.
In 1977, his family moved to Lutsk, Volyn Region, Ukraine, where he attended a local art school and studied the fundamentals of composition, painting, and drawing.
From 1983 to 1990, Gerasimenko studied at the Uzhhorod College of Decorative and Applied Arts, where he mastered the art of ceramics.
From 1993 to 1999, he studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Faculty of Easel Painting. While deeply engaged in painting and drawing during his academic years, he continually returned to ceramics as his primary artistic passion.
The combination of his love for painting and ceramics gave rise to his distinctive authorial style, “Happy Art.”
Gerasimenko’s work is characterized by sculptural ceramics of various forms and sizes, richly decorated with vibrant colors and executed in the majolica technique.
Participated in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and internationally since 1996.
His works are held in private collections worldwide.
