Born in Odesa, Ukraine, in 1945. Studied at the Odesa Art College (1964–1971) and at the Kyiv Academy of Arts (1971–1977).

Painter, graphic artist, and book illustrator.

He is a laureate of Ukrainian, international, and regional exhibitions, as well as multiple international biennials.

He held 56 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous biennials during his creative career.

Often referred to as the “Ukrainian Picasso”.

His works are held in more than sixty museums and galleries worldwide, including Ukrainian and Russian state museums, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the National Libraries of France, the Netherlands, Poland, and Mexico. They are also represented in private collections worldwide.

Participated in more than 230 all-Union, national, international, and regional exhibitions.
