Born in 1958 in the Kharkiv Region, Ukraine. Graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (now the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts) in 1981.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1994.
Works in the genres of landscape, still life, portraiture, icon painting, and illustration. In addition to oil painting, she works with watercolor, gouache, pastel, and acrylic.
Recognized for her distinctive broad impasto brushwork, through which she conveys emotion and atmosphere in her depictions of flowers, seascapes, and landscapes.
By blessing of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, she is also engaged in icon painting.
In the mid-1980s, illustrations by Liliya Zinchenko were published in the French edition of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince”.
She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in competitions, plein airs, and national and international exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
Her works are held in the collection of the Berdyansk Art Museum named after I. Brodsky and in private collections worldwide.
