Born in 1954 in Kyiv into the family of renowned Ukrainian writer and Taras Shevchenko Prize laureate Oleksandr Levada, whose influence helped shape her artistic worldview and lifelong interest in the relationship between humanity, space, and the universe.
Studied at the Kyiv State Art Institute from 1973 to 1979. Her teachers included V. Vyrodova-Gautier, S. Poderevyanskyi, I. Bychenkova, and D. Lider.
Since 1982, has participated in republican, all-Union, and international exhibitions.
Since 1988, has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Levada’s painting is characterized by a lyrical and contemplative approach, combining a rich and complex color palette with expressive luminosity.
A significant theme in her work is the ancient history of Ukraine and Kyivan Rus. In 1982, she presented the triptych The Legend of Sophia of Kyiv at an exhibition marking the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv. Inspired by the frescoes of Saint Sophia Cathedral, this work later developed into her major series, Frescoes.
