Born in 1953 in Pidhorodne, Dnipropetrovsk Region, Ukraine. Graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk State Art College (1972) and the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1981). His teachers included V. Zahubibatko, E. Zherdetskyi, A. Kapshuk, M. Shaposhnikov, and A. Konstantynopolskiy.
Works in painting and graphics. In a realistic style, he primarily creates landscapes and still lifes inspired by the Dnipro region.
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2005.
Worked in Dnipropetrovsk at an art production plant (from 1981), as an art school teacher (from 1989), and later as a senior lecturer in special disciplines at the theatre and art college (from 1997).
His works are held in the Dnipropetrovsk Art Museum and the Berdyansk Art Museum (Zaporizhzhia Region), as well as in private collections in Ukraine and internationally.
Participates in exhibitions since 1978. Solo exhibitions were held in Dnipropetrovsk (2003, 2010) and Kyiv (2009).
