“When I paint, I surrender myself to passion and love. I hear nothing but music. I look at the beauty of nature and paint with feelings. Reason is necessary for life, but I paint for the heart. It is honest, although simple…” — Denis Orest

Denis Orest was a Ukrainian painter whose artistic career began in December 2014. During a remarkably productive year, he created his celebrated “Green Collection,” devoted to the beauty and spiritual significance of nature.

More than traditional landscapes, his paintings express personal emotions and reflections inspired by the natural world. Drawing upon Ukrainian folk traditions and ancient mythological perceptions of nature, Orest explored the relationship between humanity and the environment. His works evoke both the vulnerability and resilience of nature, emphasizing its enduring capacity for renewal and spiritual beauty.

His works are held in private collections in Ukraine and internationally.
