Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Laureate of the Y. Bokshay and A. Erdeli Regional Prize for monumental and sacred art (2003).

Born in 1962 in Chumalovo, Zakarpattia region, Ukraine. Graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts (1986).

Anton Kovach is a Ukrainian painter, associate professor, and head of the Drawing Department at the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts named after A. Erdeli. He is also a researcher of Transcarpathian art and an active participant in Ukraine’s and Europe’s art scene.

His work explores landscape, architecture, and still life, often focusing on the emotional and spiritual character of nature. From mountain villages and rural scenery to expressive still lifes, his paintings are defined by strong colorism, atmospheric depth, and a continuous exploration of technique and palette.

Kovach’s works are included in the collections of the Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum in Lviv, the Y. Bokshay Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, as well as private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

He is also the author and restorer of monumental sacred wall paintings, including works in the Lviv Catholic Cathedral and churches in Borzhavske and Bilki (Transcarpathia), Ukraine.
