Born in 1967, in Kremenchuk, Poltava Region, Ukraine. Graduated from the Yevhen Vuchetych Dnipropetrovsk Art School (1983–1987) and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (1990–1996).
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
In 1999, received certification as an art restorer specializing in easel painting.
Varvarov was one of the participants of the Kyiv art commune “Squat on Olegivska,” an influential artistic collective that emerged in the early 1990s. The group embraced a non-commercial approach to art and became known for its innovative interpretations of contemporary social processes through installations, performances, public actions, and experimental artistic practices.
His work reflects a commitment to artistic experimentation and engagement with contemporary culture, positioning him among the notable representatives of Ukraine’s post-independence art scene.
