Born on June 11, 1955, in Kiev, Ukraine. Graduated from the Kyiv Higher Naval Aviation School (1976), the Riga Art Studio (1991), and the International Institute of Management in Kyiv (1995). Studied under V. Khvatov.
A painter working primarily in landscape and still life. His art is associated with Neo-Modernism and is characterized by the bold use of vibrant color.
Served in the Baltic Fleet from 1976 to 1993. While saving the lives of conscripts aboard a submarine, he suffered severe decompression injuries that resulted in a lifelong disability. In 1985, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
Since 2007, has served as Chairman of the art association “Golden Palette” in Kyiv.
Participated in national and international exhibitions since 1992. Solo exhibitions were held in Kyiv in 2008 and 2010–2011.
His works are held in the Museum of the History of Kyiv and the Riga Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as in private collections internationally.
