Akhra Ajinjal

Born in 1962 in Abkhazia. In 1982 graduated Sukhumy Art College. From 1982 till 1987 A. Ajinjal had been studying at Moscow State University in the Department of History (specialization – Art History). In parallel A. Ajinjal was studying graphics and painting. During some period of time he took lessons from the famous Russian artist D. Lion in 1987. A. Ajinjal defended his Diploma Work in History of Abkhazia (supervisor: A. I. Morozov). Since the year of 1987 until 1992, А. Ajinjal was working in a fine art magazine “Art of Abkhazia”. He is the author of more than 50 articles and notes that have been published in Abkhazia and Russia. A. Ajinjal was also making graphical art work for books and magazines. His illustrations graced more

than 150 books.

1. Ajinjal is a participant of numerous solo and group exhibitions, a lot of his works are in different prestigious galleries which are located in Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Greece, Lithuania, Abkhazia, Ukraine, Austria, France, Greece, Germany, US, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Canada, Switzerland, Japan and others.
